 기술을 보는 방법 시리즈 1  <D.I.Y PET MAKING>에서 작가는 디지털 패브리케이션을 통해 산업시대의 표준기술이 디지털 플랫폼 내에서 수용되는 방식에 흥미를 느낀다. 이것이 새로운 시각적 형태로 구체화 될 때 발생되는 변칙들을 나열한다. 기어 다니는 것과 날아 다니는 것은 대량생산방식의 상품들이 오랜 기간 축적한 ‘표준기술’을 해킹하는 방법론을 취하여 제작된 인공 애완동물이다. 개인에게 D.I.Y 펫을 생산하게 함으로서 기술이 일상에서 수용되는 일련의 방식을 제시한다.

The artist is interested in the way the standard technology of the industrial age is accepted within the digital platform through digital fabric. List the anomalies that occur when this materializes into a new visual form. “Growing” and “Flying” are artificial pets produced by using a methodology to hack into the “standard technology” accumulated over a long period of time by mass-produced products. Present a series of ways in which technology is accepted in everyday life by getting individuals to produce D.I.Y PET.
