미디어 아티스트 양숙현은 현재의 기술 미디어를 ‘물질’로 정의하며 물리적 영역과 데이터 영역을 연결하고 조작 하는 것에 관심을 갖는다. 이를 기반으로 동시대 기술 환경과 시스템이 생산하고 파생시킨 개체와의 경험을 매체와 형식의 제한없이 풀어낸다. 신체성을 기반한 감각, 물리적 공간 변환을 통한 경계 흐리기, 기술 알고리즘이 생성하는 글리치 등 다양한 주제를 통해 기술이 환경이 된 시대에 대한 지속적인 질문을 던진다.

Sookyun Yang defines current technical media as “material” and is interested in connecting and manipulating physical and data areas. Based on this, she unravels her experiences with objects produced and derived by contemporary technology environments and systems without restrictions on media and formats. She asks persistent questions about the era in which technology has become an environment through a variety of topics, including physicality-based senses, blurring boundaries through physical space transformations and glitching generated by technology algorithms.
