2023 SFAC UnfoldX 선정 프로젝트 <유 세미나에서 지구까지 YOU SEMINAR TO THE EARTH>

작가는 빅데이터 오픈소스와 개인에 의해 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 기술을 통해 포착되는 세계의 물질성을 작품을 통해 보여주고자 한다. 최근 우연한 기회에 방문한 지하 배수로를 탐험한 경험을 바탕으로 지구의 임계지역(Earth’s Critical Zone)에 대해 상상하며 그곳에서 마주칠 법한 다양한 존재의 감각들을 시청각화 시킨다. 지구 밖 외계 행성, 그 아름다움에 매료되는 기술의 시대에 자기장에서 탈주를 시도하기보다 발을 딛고 서 있는 대지(Terrestrial)의 표면에서, 지면으로부터 아래를 향하는 물질의 세계로 우리의 벡터를 이동시키고자 한다.

I intend to show the physicality of the world captured thorugh technology by utilizing big data open source and data collected by individuals through my work. Based on the recent experience of exploring underground drainage channels visited by chance, it imagines Earth’s critiacal zone and audiovisualizes the various sense of existence encountered there. In the era of extraterrestrial planets and technology fascinated by their beauty, I want to move our vectors from the surface of the terrestrials standing on their feet to the world of matter facing down from the ground rather than appempting to escape from the magnetic field.
