브릴리언트 큐브는 3D 매트릭스 구성된, 576개의 투명한 LED 폴이 상하로 움직이는 키네틱 조각이다. 구조물의 크기는 6M X 6M X 6M이며 서울에서 가장 붐비는 장소인 강남역 사거리에 위치하여 또 하나의 랜드마크가 되고있다. 찬란한 삶(Live Brilliant)를 주제로, 삶의 매 순간을 변화하는 빛으로 해석하고 있으며, 고정된 간격과 깊이를 가진 물리적 형태 요소가 움직임을 통해 시시각각 변화하면서 또 다른 외형적 변화를 맞이하는 시대의 frameworks를 구조적으로 표현하고 있다. — Jonpasang homepage 발췌 —
전파상은 2010년부터 시작된 미디어 아티스트 콜렉티브로 기술 미디어를 통해 물리적 공간에서 불가능한 것을 상상하고 실현하는 작업을 진행해왔다. 대표 작품으로 Hyper-Matrix (2012), Brilliant Cube (2013)가 있다. 매스프로덕트가 만들어낸 3차원 공간의 물리적 움직임이 만들어내는 신(Scene)을 통해 전파상은 비물질이라 일컬어지는 디지털의 속성에 반하는, 끊임없이 변화하는 극적 공간을 표현하고자 한다.
Jonpasang have been an artist collective since 2011 and have been working on imagining and realizing what is impossible in physical space through technical media. Representative works include Hyper-Matrix (2012) and Brilliant Cube (2013). Through the scene created by the physical movement of the three-dimensional space created by the mass product, we intend to express the ever-changing dramatic space contrary to the property of the digital, which is called the non-material.
