공존하지만 부재하는 지구로부터 행성 차원의 거리를 두고 인간이전의 세계를 ‘유 세미나’로 은유하여 기계의 자연성과 인간 본연의 능력으로 지구를 감각해보는 전시이다.

여덟 명의 예술가들은 각자 태양 빛 세기에 따라 소리의 시간 축의 변주를, 인간의 청각에 대한 착청 현상으로 음악적 탐구를, 빅데이터 오픈소스와 수집 데이터로 세계의 물질성을, 사운드 채집으로 바다 물결의 파동을, 꼬매기와 글쓰기로 시공간 중첩의 하이브리드 생명을, 종이접기와 쌓기의 수행으로 시간의 종합을, 명상과 원 그리기를 통해 인간의 오래된 욕망을, 달과 춤을 통한 신체 감각의 확장에 대한 질문을 예술작품으로 제시한다. 우리는 지구를 무엇으로 어떻게 감각하고 있는 지 고대로부터 미래까지 간직하고 있는 것과 오래 전에 잊어버렸거나 잃었던 것들에 대해 상기해보고자 한다. 

It is an exhibition that senses the Earth with the nature of the machine and the natural ability of humans by metaphorizing the pre-human world as a “You Seminar” at a planetary-level distance from the coexisting but absent Earth.

Each of the eight artists presents artworks such as variations in the time axis of sound depending on the intensity of sunlight, musical exploration through illusion of human hearing, physicality of the world with big data open source and collection data, sea waves with sound collection, hybrid life overlapping time and space through sewing and writing, time synthesis with origami and stacking, human desire with meditation and circle drawing, and the question about the expansion of the body senses through the moon and dance from ancient times. We intend to remind ourselves of what and how we recognize about the Earth, what we have from ancient times to the future, what we have forgotten or lost a long time ago.

양숙현은 빅데이터 오픈소스와 개인에 의해 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 기술을 통해 포착되는 세계의 물질성을 작품을 통해 보여주고자 한다. 최근 우연한 기회에 방문한 지하 배수로를 탐험한 경험을 바탕으로 지구의 임계지역(Earth’s Critical Zone)에 대해 상상하며 그곳에서 마주칠 법한 다양한 존재의 감각들을 시청각화 시킨다. 지구 밖 외계 행성, 그 아름다움에 매료되는 기술의 시대에 자기장에서 탈주를 시도하기보다 발을 딛고 서 있는 대지(Terrestrial)의 표면에서, 지면으로부터 아래를 향하는 물질의 세계로 우리의 벡터를 이동시키고자 한다.
